DESCRIPTION:In order to highlight the connection between using public trans
 it and better overall health\, Escambia County Area Transit is hosting a c
 ommunity event encouraging participants to &ldquo\;get up to speed with EC
 AT.&rdquo\; People who take public transit have reduced risk for high bloo
 d pressure\, diabetes and obesity according to research conducted by the A
 merican Heart Association. Thursday&rsquo\;s event will give ECAT riders a
 nd visitors to the Rosa Parks Terminal a chance to make sure their health 
 is &ldquo\;up to speed&rdquo\; with help from local partners. Event partic
 ipants will receive health tips from Baptist Health Care and get their hea
 rt rates up in 10-minute exercise classes taught by instructors from Pensa
 cola Fitness. All participants will be entered to win a free year-long mem
 bership to Pensacola Fitness and a free bike.\nIn conjunction with the eve
 nt\, ECAT riders will be asked to complete a brief survey to evaluate thei
 r overall satisfaction with existing routes. This survey is available onli
