DESCRIPTION:Pensacola Beach Lifeguards will host a tryout in February for i
 ndividuals looking for a challenging\, rewarding and exciting job with a s
 tarting pay of $14.57&nbsp\;per hour.\n\nTryout date:\n\n    Saturday\, Fe
 b. 1 at 11 a.m.&nbsp\;\n\nThe tryout will take place at the University of 
 West Florida Aquatic Center\, located at 11000 University Parkway\, Bldg. 
 72.&nbsp\;Applicants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early and to 
 bring all relevant certifications to the tryout event.&nbsp\;\nPosition re
 quirements for employment include the following:\n\n\n\n\n\n    Able to sw
 im 600 yards in a pool in 10 minutes or less\n    Able to run 1.5 miles on
  a track in 12 minutes or less\n    Be at least 16 years old\n    Possess 
 a valid driver&rsquo\;s license\n    American Red Cross Lifeguard Certific
 ation is preferred\n\n\n\n\n\nAttending and passing the tryout is required
  to be considered for employment. If you pass the physical tests in the al
 lotted time and meet all of the other&nbsp\;requirements\, you will be sch
 eduled for an interview. If selected to be hired\, you will receive paid t
 raining. Training includes\, but is not limited to\, successfully passing 
 80 hours of open water training and emergency medical training.\nIf you ar
 e a student at an accredited secondary school\, vocational school\, colleg
