DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, Sept. 26\, 2022\, at 5:30 pm\, the Escambia Consort
 ium\, comprised of Escambia County\, the City of Pensacola\, Santa Rosa Co
 unty and the City of Milton\, Florida\, has scheduled a public meeting to 
 be held in the Brownsville Community Center (3200 W. Desoto St.\, Pensacol
 a\, FL 32505) seeking community input regarding the allocation of federal 
 funds received through the HOME-ARP grant program. In 2021 Congress approp
 riated a portion of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to be administere
 d through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) to perform four 
 activities that are to benefit individuals of specified qualifying populat
 ions. The eligible activities for funding under the grant include1) the de
 velopment or rehabilitation of rental housing\; 2) supportive service\; 3)
  tenant based rental assistance\; and\, 4) the acquisition and development
  of non-congregate shelter. The primary beneficiaries of HOME-ARP funded a
 ctivities are to be individuals within certain qualifying populations. Tho
 se include individuals currently experiencing homelessness or at risk of b
 eing homeless\; those fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence\, da
 ting violence\, sexual assault\, stalking\, or human trafficking\; househo
 lds at greatest risk of housing instability\; and veterans and families th
 at include a veteran family member that meet the criteria for one of the q
